COLLECTIVE STORYTELLING
FOR SOCIAL CHANGE

WHY?

Collective storytelling is a powerful cultural technique - as old as humanity itself. In this workshop we use it to drive social change. Through collective storytelling we create mental experimental spaces in which we can leave old thought patterns aside, adopt new perspectives and access deeper emotional levels to increase our transformative potential - all dimensions that are not available to us in purely content-based discussions.

When we tell stories together with other people, strong images and metaphors emerge from the collective subconscious that are deeply meaningful for participants. By drawing connections between story and real-life, these metaphors can be used as psychological driving force for social change: they can help uncover blind spots, shape new narratives for transformation, and build momentum for action strategies. The method is particularly suitable for conflict-ridden or complex issues, as it promotes creativity and empathy.
